KIC Opens Applications for 2026 AgriTech Challenge Pro Cohort
The Kosmos Innovation Center has officially opened applications for the 2026 cohort of its AgriTech Challenge Pro, an advanced business incubation programme designed to support high-potential agribusiness startups ready for growth, scale, and market impact.
The initiative aims to empower young entrepreneurs to leverage technology and innovation to improve productivity, increase yields, and create employment opportunities within the agricultural sector.
According to KIC, the programme is particularly targeted at startups operating in food innovation and agri-machinery, offering them the opportunity to work closely with industry experts, mentors, and business advisors to accelerate their entrepreneurial journey and bring innovative solutions to market faster.
Supporting Growth-Stage Agribusinesses
The AgriTech Challenge Pro is structured to provide practical incubation support for ambitious startups seeking to refine products, strengthen market readiness, prepare for investment opportunities, and scale sustainably within the agribusiness ecosystem.
Selected startups will receive real-time incubation support through KIC’s Center of Excellence in Kumasi, a specialized innovation facility equipped with advanced technical infrastructure, engineering support, and commercialization services.

The AgriTech Challenge Pro forms part of the Initiative for Youth in Agricultural Transformation (IYAT), a programme led by the Mastercard Foundation in partnership with Kosmos Innovation Center.
The initiative focuses on equipping the next generation of young agricultural leaders and entrepreneurs with the skills, tools, and support needed to unlock growth barriers across critical agricultural value chains while creating employment opportunities for young women and men.
Since its inception, the programme has contributed to more than 64,000 direct and indirect jobs for young people.
